Tonica Hunter

Kurzbio

Tonica Hunter has a background in French and German Studies from the University of Warwick as well as a Masters in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford.
Having moved to Vienna in 2014 to work at a migration policy think tank, Tonica has also since (co) founded and curated for various collectives (Sound of Blackness, Series:Black) and projects in Vienna which use arts and culture as a means to redefine social space and contribute to conversations and thinking on inclusion and intersectionality in Austria.
Her work spans performance and curation (music, performance, discourse, visual arts) with organisations such as CIVA Festival, MDW Wien, Caritas Austria (Stand 129), Calle Libre x Weltmuseum, Wiener Festwochen, Youki Film Festival, Tanzquartier Wien - artistic research lab, AfroPunk NYC, Creative Europe EU and UNESCO Österreich, amongst others.
