Justina Špeirokaitė (she/her) is a mother, curator, cultural organiser, and researcher with a background in social work and cultural studies. Based in Vienna, she draws on her Lithuanian background to explore how sociopolitical and historical conditions shape contemporary lived experience, with a focus on transgenerational relations and post-socialist identities.
In 2014, she co-founded the cultural platform Improper Walls. Since 2019, she has supported newly arrived artists in Vienna through the QMA initiative. Justina also leads the LT.art Vienna festival and co-develops the interdisciplinary project bal.
In September 2026, Justina joined the D-Arts board as a deputy speaker for the activist circle.
Justina Špeirokaitė (sie/ihr) ist Mutter, Kuratorin, Kulturorganisatorin und Forscherin mit einem Hintergrund in Sozialer Arbeit und Kulturwissenschaften. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Wien und beschäftigt sich mit gesellschaftlichen, politischen und historischen Bedingungen und deren Einfluss auf gegenwärtige Lebensrealitäten. Dabei interessieren sie besonders transgenerationale.
Beziehungen, postsozialistische Identitäten und unterschiedliche soziale und kulturelle Kontexte.
2014 war sie Mitbegründerin der Kulturplattform Improper Walls, an der sie bis heute mitwirkt. Seit 2019 unterstützt sie im Rahmen der Initiative QMA neu angekommene Künstler*innen in Wien. Zudem leitet sie LT.art Vienna, arbeitet am Projekt bal mit und ist seit September 2026 als stellvertretende Sprecherin des Aktivist*innenkreises im D-Arts Vorstand tätig.
