mica – music austria is a service and resource center for musicians and music professionals based in Austria with service centers in Vienna, Salzburg and Tyrol.

The music information center austria was founded in 1994 and acts as a hub for networking, community-building, expertise-sharing, professionalization, and growth for musicians and those working in the music sector in Austria - regardless of genre, age, background. A team of consultants with long-standing experience in the music sector are ready and able to address a broad and in-depth range of questions, topics and concerns. All services are available in German and English, and are all completely free of charge and open to everyone working with music in Austria.

An ever-growing music database which currently features nearly 2,000 composers and about 61,000 compositions.

We stand strongly behind the Fair Pay Initiative in Austria, and offer extensive information for musicians to negotiate better deals based on minimum fair pay recommendations. See: Minimum fee recommendations and collective agreements in the music sector.

With Austrian Music Export, a joint project with the Austrian Music Funds, mica - music austria works to increase the presence of artists from or based in Austria and their impact on the international playing field.
